Company Events
Truck Roadeo
Labatt’s “Road-eo” events create a carnival atmosphere where families can see their Labatt relatives compete in multi-event competitions to show their skills as truck drivers, forklift drivers, tuggers or pallet jack drivers. Families get a chance to see what their relatives do every day, and how skilled they are. In addition, there are fun-walks and “train” rides in the warehouse, as well as face painting and games. Sales reps and office people cook and serve, so as to honor everyone involved in making sure that the transportation of goods and products is such a great success.
Annual Company Trip
Labatt takes large annual trips each year. Qualifying sales and management personnel travel together, learning and bonding as a company. On these trips, the group has opportunities to see sights and institutions that they might not normally experience. Our trips have taken us to the mountains of Banff and on special tours of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C., and the Hispanic Society of America in New York. Our goal is to draw Labatt people together, to keep us interacting as one company.
Labatt Food Show
Labatt’s annual Food Show is a feature event during which Labatt employees act as the hosts, bringing together key food manufacturers with customers from throughout Labatt’s trade territory. Labatt wants its customers to know key suppliers so that they can work together to identify special opportunities for promoting and purchasing products. As a result, the Labatt Food Show is known throughout the industry as a show with lots of frenetic activity— a “buying show.”
Golf Tournament for the Arts
The Tournament for the Arts is a two-day event that supports OPERA San Antonio. Major manufacturers from the food industry are invited to play golf on some of the top courses in San Antonio and to attend an evening of operatic performances.
Lunchtime Lecture Series
The Lunchtime Lectures are informal talks where Labatt people can hear about the day-to-day work of key Labatt executives. In a lunch-and-learn format, we can ask questions so that all of us can have a better understanding of parts of the company that we do not often deal with directly. Our goal is to keep the feeling of being one intimate company, no matter how big we might grow.
Programmathon
The Programmathon is a yearly IT event aimed at promoting healthy competition and camaraderie among the software developers. During the competition, developers are broken up into teams of two such that a senior programmer is paired with a junior programmer. IT management creates a challenge that each team must work on together to solve in the allotted time. With prizes on the line, the event has an energetic atmosphere.
Labatt Wellness Clinic
The Labatt Wellness Clinic is a place for company events, such as when our H-E-B Pharmacy provided vaccines for Labatt families.
